About Tucker

Tucker Axum is a New York Times bestselling author who wrote the international thriller Cajun Justice with the world’s #1 bestselling writer, James Patterson. After an expedition to Omaha Beach in Normandy, France, Tucker wrote his debut historical fiction novel, The Reawakening of Mage Axum, which was inspired by the disappearance of his uncle, an American World War II soldier.

Tucker takes St. Augustine’s declaration to heart: “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.” Tucker grew up in America’s South, but traded the bayous for the far corners of the globe as a special agent for the US Government. Tucker has explored more than 78 countries on all seven continents. He has conducted criminal investigations, counter-terrorism missions, and provided executive protection to VIPs throughout the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, and Australia. Tucker lives in the Washington, DC area with his family, but his go-bag is always packed for the next mission.

Tucker is an expert storyteller who believes that people yearn to be inspired and transported to other locales and eras. Whether following the quest of a journalist through America’s Golden Age, nursing a battered plane back to earth, walking the somber grounds at Auschwitz, interrogating pirates off the coast of Kenya, or going toe-to-toe with the Japanese Yakuza, Tucker understands that words touch our hearts and stimulate our minds. Tucker’s passions go beyond public service and writing, to include earning a black belt in Lotus mixed martial arts, having a PADI rescue diver certification, and being a licensed multi-engine pilot whose adventures have been nationally published.
